The Purpose of Liberty Family Church

We call our purpose the four Es’ of Liberty Family Church. Just remember these four basic words and you will know how to share with others why we gather to worship.

1) Exaltation: Phil. 2:11-14 & John 16:13-15

By the Sprit within us we come together to exalt Jesus Christ in all majesty as our Lord and Savior. We are to live a life that exalts the Lord to the world around us. We are to also lift up the following:
A: Government of our country
B: Our spiritual leaders in prayer, giving them honor.

2) Edification: Rom. 15:1-6

We are members of the body of Jesus Christ. Therefore, we should minister to one another to the building up of our members, that we might with one mind and one mouth glorify our Lord Jesus Christ.

3) Equipping: Eph. 4:11-14

We are to teach and prepare saints for the work of the ministry. We are to train the saints to the Word of God, the gifts of the Sprit, and how to fulfill our place in the body of Christ, understanding God’s vision and purpose in us.

4) Evangelism: Acts 1:8

We believe we are filled with the Spirit to give us the ability and power to take Jesus Christ to our community, to the hurting, the poor, the sick, and the afflicted.
a) Social Action: Acts 4:32 & Acts 10:38
Part of evangelism is not only to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and the power of the Holy Ghost, but do the gospel, setting captives free, feeding the hungry, clothing the naked, and mending the broken hearted.
